‘Falling Skies’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Can Tom unite all of humanity?
For much of the five-season run of “Falling Skies” on TNT, the story has remain understandably focused mostly on what is going on with Tom and the 2nd Mass. However, as we start to near the end of the series things are going to get bigger, better, and badder all at the same time. Things will start to expand in scale, and by the time we make it to the end, we could actually have an opportunity to see just what everyone has been going through in trying to take on the wide array of aliens we’ve seen on the series.
Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, though … at least not yet. “Hatchlings” is the title for next week’s all-new episode, and the story here is going to revolve very much around hard choices, reaching out to new allies, and also handling the fact that the enemy forces could be even greater than first thought. The synopsis below, via TV Guide, offers up some insight:
“The 2nd Mass makes a discovery about the source for a seemingly endless supply of enemy forces. Elsewhere, Tom’s leadership spreads to remaining human militias; Hal helps Maggie on a personal mission; and Tom must make an agonizing choice.”
We still have a good 80% of this final season to go still, and with that the only further scoop we can offer up for the time being is this: Don’t assume that any circumstances in this battle are going to be the same three or four weeks from now as they are at the moment.
