Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular: Ed Sheeran, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor set for NBC
As we’ve said a few times as of late, the Fourth of July is hardly the sort of holiday that features a wide array of new programming. Yet, over on NBC you are going to get a chance to see at least something different in celebration of Independence Day in Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. This is an annual celebration, but one that probably is even more interesting at the moment courtesy of the complicated relationship both NBC and Macy’s have severed with Donald Trump over the past week. Yet, we have a feeling that this is not going to be mentioned in the slightest during the show. Why would it be?
Tamron Hall and Willie Geist of “The Today Show” are going to host the event tonight starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and there are going to be a variety of performers present including Ed Sheeran, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Flo Rida and Meghan Trainor. This has been a particularly busy time for Sheeran as of late on various shows, given that we’ve seen him perform on several live telecasts and he also recently co-hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto.
The big benefit of watching this show mostly is that it is going to present you with an opportunity to see a little bit of entertainment and fireworks in the event you don’t live near any local displays, or you just don’t want to get outside in the heat. Or, maybe you just really like some of the performers.
This is one of many NBC – Macy’s joint ventures during the year. One of the other ones is of course the Thanksgiving Day Parade, which we will see of course in late November.
