‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 6 preview: The road for Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen in ‘Dolce’

Hannibal -In some ways, you can think of “Hannibal” season 3 as divided into two separate halves. The first one is almost entirely about Hannibal’s jaunt in Europe, and we are bracing for the second half that will be mostly the story of Red Dragon. We’re not entirely there just yet, though, and there are two more installments to get through before we make it to that point.

One of these such installments is “Dolce” airing next week. After starting to realize that the walls are starting to close in around him, Hannibal Lecter starts to ultimately prepare for the future that lies ahead for him. If there is a way for him to escape, maybe this is something that he will consider. While he does this, the synopsis indicates that Will Graham and Jack Crawford are going to get very much involved by the time all of this ends:

“Sensing their time in Florence is coming to an end, Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) and Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) consider their parting as Hannibal plans for his final stand. Meanwhile, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) reunite, but Jack remains uncertain about Will’s true loyalty. Back in the States, Mason Verger (guest star Joe Anderson) hungrily makes plans for Hannibal’s capture, while Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) and Margot Verger (guest star Katharine Isabelle) makes plans of their own for Mason.”

Prepare for some information in this episode; if nothing else, it should set the stage for an epic showdown of sorts in the much-important episode 3×07 that closes the door on this part of the story.
