‘House of Cards’ season 4 spoilers: Neve Campbell joins cast in mystery role
Sometimes, a headline tells a very good chunk of the story, and this is precisely the case for this “House of Cards” headline in particular. Actress Neve Campbell, known for the original “Scream” franchise and many other things, has been officially brought on for the upcoming fourth series of Netflix’s “House of Cards.” However, details about her character are being kept under wraps.
Really, you should just be happy to get some more news when it comes to her casting at all, given how one of the biggest surprises in the history of “Mad Men” was seeing her show up there for what ended up being the briefest of appearances. It was one of those such roles that could have turned into so much more, but it didn’t mostly because of how Matthew Weiner wants to keep you on your toes.
The news about Campbell’s casting was first reported by Deadline.
We wonder where season 4 will pick back up, given that we last saw Frank Underwood competing to get another term as President. We wouldn’t be shocked if the election has already taken place when the new season picks up … but if there is a lengthy time jump, that really should make you wonder what the state of his relationship with Claire could be like. Is it possible that Campbell’s character is tied romantically to him? Even if Frank and Claire work things out, let’s just remember here that it is probably best to really not put anything past this guy.
Now, let us turn this over to you. What do you think about Neve’s casting, and where do you think that season 4 of “House of Cards” should pick up? Let us know right now in the comments.
