‘The Last Ship’ season 2, ‘Falling Skies’ season 5 heading to San Diego Comic-Con
You had to assume in one way or another that TNT was going to be bringing many of their best shows to San Diego Comic-Con… or at least the ones that fit into the right genre. After all, isn’t this the right venue for them? It’s a chance to dish more on the season taking place, and in the case of “Falling Skies,” this really marks a proper opportunity to say farewell given that the show is in its final season.
Let’s start the TNT panel news here with “The Last Ship,” which is coming in Room 6A on Thursday, July 9 starting at 1:45 p.m. Pacific time. James Hibbard of Entertainment Weekly will be the moderator, and he will be joined there by the likes of stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin, Travis Van Winkle, Jocko Sims, and Marissa Neitling, while executive producer Hank Steinberg will also be present. Baldwin in particular is a very familiar face at conventions, given that he was a part of the legendary “Firefly” and also was a regular on “Chuck” for many years.
As for the aforementioned “Falling Skies,” the panel will consist of Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Sarah Carter, Connor Jessup, Colin Cunningham, Doug Jones and co-EP Olatunde Osunsanmi. It will take place in Ballroom 20 on Friday, July 10, starting at 11:15 a.m. Pacific.
So why give so much coverage to particular panels here, given that many actors do other panel events over the course of the entire year? The simple reason is that these are the most high-profile, and networks / studios know that since there will be more coverage, they make some of their biggest reveals at these particular events.
