ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8: When does filming start for Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, Molly Quinn, cast?
For many TV fans, the month of June can at times feel like a drought. You are waiting for your favorite actors to return to set, and to start getting some casting news. Anything, really, to get a sense as to what is coming up.
While we know that new showrunners Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley are already working with the writers on new scripts for “Castle” season 8, there is still a lengthy waiting process until the cameras actually start rolling with Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, and the rest of the cast. So when will this happen? According to Fillion and Katic’s co-star Molly Quinn a.k.a. Alexis, July 15 is the date that you should all mark in your calendars. Sometimes the dates can be a little different depending on call times and whatnot, but this is a good general date to mark in your calendar.
Production for season 8, given the reports that it will be 22 episodes, is likely going to be continuing into well into the spring, so this will be a very busy eight-plus months for all involved. As for whether or not this is the final season, it is really much too early to tell on that and we’ll analyze it further once we see the ratings.
For the time being, what we can say is that the show has some exciting ideas ahead for the Castle and Beckett characters, and we are going to see the continuing evolution of the characters. Given that there are new people involved, there is no reason to bring us the same exact story.
