‘Penny Dreadful’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Vanessa prepares to (hopefully) save Sir Malcolm

Are you ready for a meeting of minds on “Penny Dreadful” season 2? Sunday night’s penultimate episode of the season is going to feature a mission to save Sir Malcolm at all costs, and there are going to be a variety of different characters joining forces in order to ensure that he makes it out of his present (and terrible) situation alive.

In the sneak peek, you can see Vanessa do just about everything that she can to play the role of recruiter, encouraging the likes of Sembene, Mr. Lyle, Ethan, and others to assist her in the journey. However, she soon realizes that not everyone (big surprise there) is going to be as willing as she probably hoped to assist.

By the end of the episode, we assume that there is going to be some pretty big progress in one way or another to meet this end, and the show will set us up for a heck of an intense finale. Everything that happens in that episode should not only wrap up some of the stellar stories we’ve been seeing as of late, but also set the stage for a third season premiering on Showtime next year. The show was recently renewed, not that there was ever really that much doubt about its future.
