‘Castle’ season 8: Guess who has finally joined Twitter?
In some ways, we imagine that you can probably figure out the answer to this question just by a mere process of elimination. The majority of the “Castle” cast has been on Twitter for ages now in one form or another, and are all at least reasonably active.
The only exception? Susan Sullivan, who plays Castle’s mother Martha. Today, her joining Twitter was finally official. Given the headlines today, it only seems appropriate that one of her first tweets was about the power of love. Just in case you needed some extra verification that this is really her, we’ve also included a tweet from her co-star Seamus Dever. With this move, everyone who is currently a series regular on “Castle” is on social media in one form or another. Granted, we’re still waiting to see who is cast as Hayley, a character who could be spending some time working alongside Castle in some capacity when season 8 premieres. Filming on the new season will kick off a little bit later this summer, and we feel like there is a fun sort of uncertainty in terms of what to expect. You’ve got new showrunners in Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley who should bring some fresh perspectives, but at the same time they are both series veterans and know a thing or two already about what “Castle” fans love about the show. Also, you’ve got an intriguing Beckett cliffhanger about her career, and given that Captain Gates is seemingly not returning, someone is going to have to be in charge now.
As you would expect, we’ll have further Castle news soon! Stay tuned.
