‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ episode 3 preview: Is trouble ahead for Yvonne Strahovski, Wilson Bethel, cast?

We are two episodes in now to ABC’s “The Astronaut Wives Club,” and part of what we have managed to see from the show so far is a sense of what the show can be. There are some moments of humor in here, but the real strength of the series for the most part seems to be capitalizing on both the drama and the spirit of the times. This is a way to almost effortlessly combine the worlds of “Mad Men” and “Mistresses” into something fairly distinct.

Next week may be a big episode for the Scott Carpenter character, and in turn this is going to be a huge one for Wilson Bethel and Yvonne Strahovski. “Retroattitude” is the title, and based on the promo below, there may be some concern by the time the story ends that someone could not make it back to earth. Not only that, but there will be some trouble with some other astronauts down to earth, as their newfound sense of power and fame leads them to believe that they can have almost whatever they want.

It’s onward to Houston.”
