‘Bachelor in Paradise’: First poster straight out of romance novel

Throughout the rest of June and July, you are going to be treated to the rest of “The Bachelorette” starring Kaitlyn Bristowe. What happens from then? Think along the lines of the crazy-ridiculous experience known as “Bachelor in Paradise.” The show will be back on August 2, and it is going to be probably as much of a hot mess as you would expect going into it.

What we have for you today is the first poster for the new season, and ironically the two people in here look a little like Kaitlyn and Nick Viall. Whoever they are, they are standing in a position that looks straight out of a romance novel. Oh, does this ever give you a false impression as to what this series is about for the most part. More than anything we just remember Clare and the raccoon more than actual romance from last season.

To be fair, Marcus and Lacy being together for a year to a certain extent validates that the show can work. They’ve lasted at least for now longer than either Chris Soules / Whitney Bischoff and Andi Dorfman / Josh Murray, and we suppose that this is saying something.

We do hope that there is at least a hope for some romance during the season, but more than anything else, we’re just hoping for great entertainment. There’s not much else we can really ask for.
