‘Heroes: Reborn’ gets super-mysterious with first promo (video)

Heroes -Where are the heroes? You see that question asked early and often in the new extended promo for NBC’s “Heroes: Reborn,” which is preparing for a launch this fall. The show has been extremely cagey when it comes to releasing actual footage, and they are continuing to do so in the latest promo, which you can see below. As a matter of fact, the only thing that you really get here are a series of chaotic images along with questions as to what the world is coming to.

It is hard to figure out if any of this is actually a part of the show itself, or is more setting up a general theme that the heroes from the original series have disappeared. We do know that some of them are at least a part of the universe. Hiro Nakamura, for example, will be around. The same goes for Matt Parkman. While Noah Bennett is not really a guy with powers, he still will be an important part of the show.

There is probably not a show this fall that we are spontaneously as excited and nervous to see. We really enjoyed the show back during its first season, but it hit a slump in season 2 and never really recovered. Also, superhero TV has really upped its game since the last time that we saw “Heroes” on the air. The expectations for it to be great are going to be so much higher, and there may be some struggles as it tries to meet them. We hope that it does.
