‘Orphan Black’ season 3 finale reaction: Who died, and who fired the bullet?
“Orphan Black” season 3 took us on quite a journey, whether it be learning more about the clones, Castor, or any of the other larger mysteries. In the end, though, they end up bringing some new mysteries to the table in a pretty shocking episode that gave you at least some answers … and probably a reason for tissues in the process.
Let’s start here with the clear ending to Rudy. That character seems to be pretty much gone, and unlike the other big moment later in the episode, we’re not sure that there is going to be any ambiguity here. Through what happened to him, though, the scene also produced a really powerful moment for Helena, who we feel had a pretty good episode as a whole courtesy of a certain man.
If you want to talk about one of the more entertaining scenes of the episode, how about that big dinner? We’re not sure that it competes with the dance sequence that we saw during the second season just when it comes to wonderful memorability, but this was yet another technical feat for the show that probably took a long time to pull off.
It’s of course a bummer that what followed this scene was not nearly as enjoyable: The (supposed) death of Delphine. This was a pretty remarkable moment for us, mostly in that the show managed to rip out our hearts, even if we knew it was coming the moment that she entered that parking garage. She may have known it, too.
