‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Mutiny’s money problems

Halt -

Is Mutiny on “Halt and Catch Fire” a business with tremendous potential? We feel like that is pretty hard to argue. The group has accomplished a great deal in a fairly short period of time, but simultaneously they are struggling with something else that is fairly significant: They have not been able to turn much of any profit, and some of the issues that they have run into, including Gordon’s recent fiasco trying to help, have run them even further behind.

With that in mind, Donna and Cameron find themselves in a precarious position on the sneak peek below, as they are really unable to compensate everyone else for their services. They’ve all worked hard to make sure that this company is the best that it can possibly be, but at the same time nobody really has much of anything to show for it. Doesn’t that have to be frustrating?

We imagine that it is, but they promise that some benefits, including company stock, will be there on the other side. They just have to figure out how to get there. Maybe the presence of Bosworth here again is encouraging, if for no other reason than that he gives them some real business clout. He’s not exactly knowledgeable at all when it comes to computers, but looks to make up for it in some other ways.

One other question that you should be asking yourselves going into this upcoming episode is this: Are we about to see a whole new story begin with Joe and Gordon? Now that they are in one another’s orbit yet again, this is possible.
