‘NCIS: New Orleans’ season 2 spoilers: Shalita Grant, Daryl Mitchell promoted
This is around the time of the year when we start to hear a thing or two about actors getting some big promotions, and there are many reasons for that. For example, writers and producers are starting to come up with ideas for next season, and to go along with that many of them are also starting to learn a thing or two more about what worked the first time around. There are certain guest stars / recurring players that people want to see again.
Therefore, the time just ultimately feels right for “NCIS: New Orleans” to confirm who are the latest series regulars. According to a new report coming in via Deadline, Shalita Grant and Daryl Mitchell are going to get this promotion for the upcoming second season of the show.
If you only watched casually throughout season 1, Grant played the part of Sonja Percy in multiple episodes. She is a former ATF Agent who is having to learn a little bit on the fly what it means to be a part of a team. Luckily, she’s got a good group around her headed by Agent Pride (Scott Bakula). Meanwhile, Mitchell plays the part of Patton Plame, an incredible smart computer specialist. He already appeared in a heavy chunk of season 1 episodes.
These new additions will help round out the cast even further, which is a great thing given that there is always an expectation to get bigger and better when you get to the second season. There will be more opportunities to get to know your characters, and expand the universe now that you’ve gotten some of the exposition out of the way.
