‘The Amazing Race Canada 3’ to premiere Wednesday, July 9
We have made it no secret that we love “The Amazing Race Canada.” As a matter of fact, we do find it in some ways to even be superior to the version of the show that airs in America. The challenges are a little more creative at times, and we really like the huge stamp of Canadian culture that is thrown in there. It feels like you learn something while enjoying the series at the same time, and we like that they do spend a good bit of time in the home country. We weren’t sure at first, but it has slowly grown on us over time.
Today, we come bearing the good news of a premiere date: The show returns to CTV on Wednesday, July 9 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. We don’t love that it is airing against another beloved show in “Suits” for us, but competition is just something that happens from time to time with so many good shows on the air.
We’re going to spend quite a bit of time moving forward actually going through and analyzing some of the teams set to compete for the grand prize at the end of the race, but someone who is obviously getting a great deal of attention right now is Hamilton Elliott, who is set to become the first transgender contestant in the history of the show. As a matter of fact, there is not even one on the U.S. version, and that has been on for 26 seasons.
More than anything, just brace yourselves for a fun summer of globe-trotting TV.
