ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8: Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic series will reportedly have 22 episodes

While we haven’t necessarily received official word from ABC just yet as to the episode count of “Castle” season 8, it is starting to become a little clear that the rumors of there only being thirteen episodes are just that.

According to a report from SpoilerTV, the new season of the show, and the first ran by the combination of Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley, is going to run for 22 episodes. Sure, you could quibble that this is the show’s smallest order since having only 10 back in the first season (when it premiered at midseason), but why do that? We’re ultimately just thrilled to be getting more of the show in general! Sometimes, you just have to celebrate any victory, and having this show for any particular span of time for us is most definitely that.

New episodes of the show are going to premiere this fall, and while scripts are still somewhat of a mystery, we know that both Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are both excited to be back. After all, they each signed new deals in order to do so. Hopefully this means more mythology, new villains, and some more creative cases that come from the minds of its new showrunners.

The series will begin filming a little bit later this summer, and we imagine that around that time, we are going to have more in the way of news to share. Be on the lookout, as we’ll be here every step of the way.
