‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ reportedly dropping Brandi Glanville as cast member
While “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” tries to be at least reasonably consistent in regards to its cast, it looks like the Bravo series is really making some big changes going into its latest season. You more than likely knew already that the series has lost Kim Richards after her arrest / stint in treatment, and there are now reports that they are also saying goodbye to Brandi Glanville as a full-time cast member after a few years with the show.
This was first reported by TMZ, with one of the reasons for this move being that many of the other cast members simply did not want to work with her anymore. Also, one of her closest confidantes on the show these days was Kim, who will clearly not be there for her to really communicate with at all. The report also says that production is still interested in having her on occasionally.
Brandi’s stint on the series has been for the most part marked with big moments. She is supremely entertaining, but at the same time a catalyst for much of the drama. We can understand why producers would want to go in a different direction, but the timing is somewhat suspect given that Brandi was just featured on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and it therefore feels like she would have more star power now than she would otherwise.
We’ll have more on the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” as it comes out. The most recent season was notable mostly for its additions of Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, two women reasonably well-known for things that are not even tied to the series.
