‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Stephen Amell teases Oliver Queen storyline
While it may be some time still until “Arrow” season 4 premieres on The CW, we do now know a little more about how in the world Oliver Queen finds himself roped into being a hero again for Starling City.
This morning star Stephen Amell did a Twitter Q&A (interestingly to support voting for a specific player into the MLB All-Star Game), and when asked to describe the show’s upcoming return (he has at least seen the script for the premiere at this point), “what’s wrong Speedy?” is what he said. The implication here is that it is Thea Queen (Willa Holland) who inspires him to stop his world tour with Felicity Smoak and come back to the city he worked so hard to save for many years. Granted, you do have to think that this was going to be coming eventually, given that this show is not entitled “Oliver travels the world without a care.”
By the time we make it to the end of the premiere, maybe Oliver will be back in action to a certain extent. While details about season 4 are scarce, we have heard already that Damien Darhk is more than likely set to be the Big Bad. Also, Diggle should have a big story given his ties to HIVE, and there will be many crossovers once again with “The Flash” and new series “Legends of Tomorrow.”
So when will it premiere? Think the second week in October, given that this is when the show does frequently tend to return. We’ll have way more news before then, so be on the lookout for that and then some.
