While you may have had to wait a little while longer for “Shahs of Sunset” season 4 to premiere on Bravo, there’s some great news coming out today: The show is coming back for a fifth season!
We cannot really sit here and say with a straight face that we are honestly that surprised by this news, mostly because of the sole fact that the latest season, despite the aforementioned delay (due to a strike among the crew), delivered some strong numbers for the network. It is one of their most-lucrative franchises out there besides “The Real Housewives,” and it continues to fill a void when it comes to Persian-American reality television. For one reason or another, this group is often ignored when it comes to other reality TV casting.
The fifth season will most likely premiere at some point in 2016, and one of the great things about this franchise is that while you do want to see the same people pop up year after year (you grow attached to them), it’s still possible for the show to live on even if a few people decide to move on. This is more about a lifestyle than any individual person.
The two-part reunion show for this season is set to come to a close on Monday, but Bravo still has quite a robust lineup ahead for the rest of the year. You’ll most likely have premieres for the Beverly Hills, Atlanta, and hopefully New Jersey versions of the franchise, and then of course the flagship “Top Chef” to go along with some surprises along the way.
