‘Better Call Saul’ season 2. Could Tuco return?

Better Call Saul season 1While we hoped that there would be some cameos from “Breaking Bad” character within the world of “Better Call Saul,” we will be honest here in saying that we never imagined in a million years that Tuco would be someone we’d see … especially as early on as in the closing minutes of the pilot.

While Tuco did not necessarily stick around on the show for a long time, his two-episode arc was thoroughly entertaining, and something that we hope that we see more of. In theory, it is possible given that we know the character lasts at least long enough that he makes it to the flagship show while Walter White is rising to power.

As for whether or not Raymond Cruz would be interested in returning to the show at some point, it seems at least possible. Raymond Cruz may rather busy thanks to “Major Crimes,” but he said the following to TVLine when asked about his experience returning this time around:

“…It was amazing to go back and to do this prequel [series], to process the character at a different time in his life. It takes such high energy to pull off Tuco.”

With Tuco or any other “Breaking Bad” character appearing on the show, the issue more than likely is just finding the right place to organically place them in the story. You never want anything to feel forced, or like you are exploiting the original series just for the sake of ratings here.

Season 2 should premiere at some point in 2016.
