‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Rita Ora on competition between show, ‘The Voice’ UK
While Rita Ora may not have confirmed at the moment that she is joining “The X Factor” UK for its upcoming season, she has at least admitted that some of the rumors out there regarding a bidding war between her current gig on “The Voice” UK and this other one for her services are true. Ora has become almost instantly a hot commodity because of getting such positive reviews for the BBC series earlier this year. For a time, it appeared that she had been all but written out as a contender for Simon Cowell’s singing competition, but that seemed to change thanks to the possible hire of Nick Grimshaw to the series.
So what does Ora specifically have to say? Just take a look at some of her new comments right now, courtesy of The Sun:
“It is very complimentary, of course … A massive compliment. Watching a bidding war going on makes me feel special.”
As for where Ora could ultimately end up, it actually would not surprise us at all to see her eventually stick around on “The Voice” for another year if the two offer a similar salary. While “X Factor” tends to produce bigger stars, it also seems to be more of a time commitment, and it has a more serious and at times combative tone with Simon going at some of the other judges on the panel. “The Voice,” meanwhile, tends to be very positive and upbeat the majority of time. It also turns the coaches into the real stars of the show.
