‘Heroes: Reborn’ to have tie-in comic series

Heroes -Just in case you want something more for “Heroes: Reborn” to go beyond just the upcoming batch of episodes on NBC, we come bearing great news: Titan Comics has now confirmed that they have secured rights to do a comic series of their own starting this fall, which will help to explain more of the backstory behind one of the show’s new characters. It’s a nice compliment to have for a show that is an ambitious part of the fall schedule, and will more than likely draw even more buzz leading up to it airing.

Overall, our feeling on the return of “Heroes” is somewhat simple, mostly in that we really want to be greatly excited to have the show back! However, at the same time we have a little bit of anxiety over what it will be. The show suffered greatly in the end from biting off more than it could chew, and having people be far too powerful that we struggled to buy into much of what was happening anymore.

Still, a comic series is the right move, since this is the sort of licensing that the show should be doing to extend its brand. It does not have the luxury of having familiar characters already other than those who were in the original show. You need some additional reasons to convince people to watch.

We are going to have some other news very soon when it comes to “Heroes: Reborn,” so be sure to be on the lookout!
