‘Veep’ season 4 finale spoilers: Election night arrives!
Sunday night’s season 4 finale of “Veep” has been in the making all season, as you’ve seen Selina Meyer try to balance out being President while also running for President, especially since it was an office that she was never really voted into. In the eyes of some, she may still be a veep through and through.
Election night is finally here, and we’re going to get an inside look into just how her crazy campaign is going to try to prepare her for what happens next, win or lose. Either way, we feel like the show still has a whole lot of possibilities ahead for it. For example, if she wins, it is not exactly like there is some sort of drought of storylines that will come from being the most powerful person in America.
With that being said, it still feels like there is a whole lot of story to be told even if she loses. For example, couldn’t this present an opportunity to see what a longtime politician does with the rest of her life? Selina’s not exactly going to be able to go and get an ordinary job; we’re not sure how she would even function without someone like Gary around to make sure that she keeps a level head.
Given that we already know that the series is returning for a fifth season, the show will at least have an opportunity to tell more stories. This is just probably the biggest turning-point episode of the show that we’ve seen in four years. Regardless of what happens story-wise, let’s just hope that it continues to be hilarious.
