‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 3 premiere review: Are Cat and Vincent engaged?
You waited for a long time to see the “Beauty and the Beast” season 3, and it felt throughout the episode like the writers were very much cognizant of this very thing. Therefore, they did just about everything in their power in order to ensure that the show delivered for its first episode back on Thursday night!
There are a variety of different ways we could go with this article, but let’s just start with what is the biggest news of the hour: Catherine and Vincent are engaged! While it did not exactly happen in the way in which he planned, Vincent got down on one knee after he reminded himself that no matter what his life with Cat looks like, this is still the life in which he wants.
Ultimately, what that life looks like could be chaotic, since Catherine’s desires to stop beast-like activity are more important to her than just having a normal job. Meanwhile, he is not just going to be an ordinary doctor as a result of this. Somehow, we imagine Tess and JT getting roped into this.
What was very fascinating to us about the premiere is that it has a very pilot sort of feel to it. Every important character including Heather had at least a season or 2, and we spent so much time setting up Cat working to stop future supernatural problems while also getting her and Vincent on the same page. This episode was a little exposition-heavy, but in the end it was worth it. We had one of the best moments in show history with the proposal, and we’re set up well for exciting moments down the line. Grade: B+.
