‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: The hunt for a new rapper
For many roles on Fox’s “Empire,” we know that producers have brought on board some big stars. However, at the same time we also know that Danny Strong in particular wants to bring aboard some fresh faces, and there are also some very specific characters that there are few celebrity counterparts even for. This is where we come in with this new report.
Pre TVLine, the series is currently looking to cast an outspoken young woman to play the part of Betty Barz, and extremely talented young rapper who is rising up the ranks, and even earning the respect of many who seem hesitant to give their appreciation to someone who differs from the in gender. She is opinionated, stubborn, and at times even moody, which suggests that she is not always going to make things particularly easy on herself, though her talent alone would at times render that possible if she would allow for it.
Betty also comes from a difficult past, as her father is incarcerated and he is one of the few people who is capable of really breaking down some of her emotional walls. She sounds on the surface very complex, and with that we imagine that she is someone we will be seeing quite a bit of when the second season premieres this fall.
For certain, you will see the character for the first time in the premiere episode, which is going to carry with it the title of “The Devils Are Here.” Doesn’t that sound just the wee bit sinister?
