Teen Choice Awards 2015: Should ‘The Fosters,’ ‘Castle,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ or ‘Empire’ win Drama Series

Now that we’ve shared the first wave of nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, we’re going to embark on a journey throughout the coming weeks where we share some of the individual categories in a more intense setting. We want to figure out who is in the best position to win, who really should win, and also what voting patterns to look out for. Even if you don’t watch the awards show itself premiering on August 16, there’s a lot of great stuff to look out for.

Of course, we want to do our own polling on this site, as well! Therefore, let us know at the bottom of the article who you are currently planning to vote for, that way he can already start to make some early impressions.

Who should win – While “Empire” is very successful, is this really a “teen” show? It’s going to have plenty of other moments in the sun over the course of the weeks ahead during awards season. We’re going to choose “The Fosters” here given that what we feel like this show should be looking at particularly here is shows that cater well to the target audience, and also deliver strong, compelling, and at times even daring entertaining. “Castle” is of course a longtime favorite and we’ll be happy if it wins, but it is going to have an uphill battle.

Who will win – “Pretty Little Liars,” and it probably will not be that close. Twitter fan followings rule this awards show, and the #PLL army is enormous. “The Fosters” may be the only show with even an outside shot, but it is a distant one.
