‘The X Factor’: Simon Cowell responds to LA Reid’s comments over show experience

More news -Was working on “The X Factor” really the worst thing that LA Reid has done over the course of his career? That is something that came up recently in the headlines, and it is therefore something that Simon Cowell of course decided that he wanted to comment on.

If you look below, you can see just a small slice of what the music mogul had to say about Reid’s comments, especially in terms of how Simon’s “taste,” which Reid claimed started to collide and mess up his own, actually helped his Epic label when it comes to Fifth Harmony. This group was discovered on the American version of the show, and has sense become successful in the industry. They are the only act from the US “X Factor” to really achieve any sort of longstanding success when it comes to radio airplay.

For the record, we should also make it clear that LA clarified some of his own comments, as well, saying that he did not mean to have these comments transposed onto anything other than his personal experience. He also referred to Cowell as a good friend, something that Simon himself reciprocated.

Ultimately, what we have here between these two guys is a classic case of someone in LA being an extremely qualified record executive, but at the same time not necessarily someone who is the best reality TV personality. The show wasn’t the right fit for him, and that was pretty clear to us after a season on the job. Simon is one of the few who can actually wear both hats.
