‘Glee,’ ‘Devious Maids’ star Naya Rivera writing memoir
Naya Rivera is joining her former “Glee” co-stars Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, and Chris Colfer in becoming a published author; specifically, she is going to be opening on quite a few different avenues throughout the course of her life. Per a post on her Twitter page (see below), she is working on a memoir entitled Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up, which is going to be in stores at some point next year.
Do we really need a book on “Glee” so soon? We’re certainly not surprised that someone is deciding to write one, especially if it contains so many “juicy” stories. The reality is that when you have a show like that with so many young people discovering fame for the first time, there’s probably so much stuff that happened behind the scenes that very few have been privy to, at least until now. Given how small the “Glee” numbers were at the time the show ended, just how many people are going to be interested remains an interesting question.
Since appearing on the Fox series as Santana for six seasons, Rivera has since guest-hosted on ABC’s “The View,” and also appeared on Lifetime’s “Devious Maids.” she and husband Ryan Dorsey are currently expecting their first child together.
As for what some of the other “Glee” cast members are up to, Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss have spent some time on Broadway, while Michele is starring in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming “Scream Queens” and Lynch is appearing in the CBS comedy “Angel From Hell.” Eventually, we imagine some other regulars landing some other gigs, as well.
