‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 9 preview: Ser Jorah’s big battle

Game of Thrones -At the end of this past episode of “Game of Thrones” entitled “Hardhome,” we had one of the more epic battles of the season as we witnessed Jon Snow realize just how threatening the White Walkers truly are. Moving into tonight’s episode we are going to see another fight, but one that is remarkably different and could potentially have a sad end for one beloved character. This one is in the city of Meereen, and it is a battle ultimately like no other.

What is Ser Jorah hoping to get out of battling in the pits once again? After his recent banishment, this does present an opportunity for him to try to prove somehow to Dany that he is worthy of her trust. However, what he seems to be doing more of here is the thing where you speak slower to someone who doesn’t speak English; it’s still not going to do you any good. The problem here is more of perception than of Jorah himself at this point, who is fiercely loyal.

While we cannot give away anything in regards to the result of this battle, we can at least give you this teaser (via The Hollywood Reporter) from Enzo Cilenti, who plays the slave master Yezzan zo Qaggaz:

“The stunt guys on that show were so excited about what was coming up [with this scene] … It’s something they’d been working on and choreographing for months.”

The only thing that we can add to this when it comes to hype is that tonight’s episode is the ninth one of the season. Remember here that this is where we had the death of Ned Stark, the Battle of Blackwater, the Red Wedding, and the Battle at the Wall. There’s something big at this point every season.
