‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 9: Where does Jon Snow go from here?

The final minutes of this past “Game of Thrones” episode “Hardhome” were in some many ways among the most epic that we have seen on the HBO series to date. After all, we bore witness to one of the series’ most violent and extreme battles, one where a good many members of the Night’s Watch and the Wildings were lost as the White Walkers started to make their presences truly felt.

Where does this take the show next? Ultimately, it brings us to a place of regrouping. Heck, what the photo attached here from Sunday night’s “A Dance of Dragons” really shows us more than anything else is that Kit Harington’s character could really use a hug more so than anything else. In all seriousness, Sam’s one of the smarter people Beyond the Wall these days, and he may at least be a good source of information.

If there is anything positive that does come from what happened at Hardhome, it is an understanding. Hopefully, everyone starts to realize now just what sort of danger they could be in, and how there are some pretty enormous stakes if they don’t start to realize that maybe fighting one another is not necessarily one of the smarter ideas in the world. They may be better suited to team up and plan their strategy accordingly!

Ultimately, we’ll get a chance to figure out what transpires in just over 24 hours, so let’s hope there are no more major casualties in or around Castle Black before the season ends.
