‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: Callie challenged on the street in latest sneak peek
The third season of “The Fosters” is now just a few days away from premiering on ABC Family, and what better way is there to celebrate this other than sharing the latest sneak peek below? It would be just mean of us to keep it to ourselves!
This one is a little bit different than some of the others we’ve shared, mostly because we’re not entirely sure how it is connected to anything else happening to the main storylines of the show. Namely, we’re talking here about how the video focuses on Callie (Maia Mitchell) walking down the street before she is accosted by a man looking for money. When she doesn’t give anything, he accuses her of being “privileged,” and in turn this manages to set her off completely.
Hopefully by the end of this episode we’ll start to understand a little bit more as to why this is in the episode in the first place, other than to maybe show further how much Callie is struggling with finding herself and dealing with the perception of others. She clearly went through a lot in season 2, whether you are talking about some of her relationships, or the almost-endless struggle with Robert Quinn. We know that she wants to give back to a certain extent, but how will that manifest in the world of the show?
Given that so much of the past few months have been spent talking about the car-crash cliffhanger and the Jude / Connor relationship, Callie’s story has been more of an enigma and something that we want to know more about. Maybe that is a good thing, since it leaves a little bit of room there for character growth.
