‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6: Kim Richards will reportedly not return
For some time we have wondered the fate of Kim Richards on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” but now some of the metaphorical clouds are starting to clear: She is not seemingly appearing on the upcoming sixth season. Kim is one of the original stars of the show, but over the years her struggle with addiction has been made very clear. She checked into rehab earlier this year, following an incident at a hotel that caused the police to intervene.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source makes it very clear that this is a move designed mostly with Richards’ health in mind more so than anything else, which includes trying to make easy TV out of someone who is in clear need of help:
“The RHOBH producers really have no interest in bringing her back to the show … Kim needs to get help and it needs to happen outside of the show.”
Kim’s sister Kyle is currently expected to remain on board for the upcoming sixth season, as will original cast member Lisa Vanderpump. As for the rest of the cast, we’ll just have to wait and see. Yolanda Foster could be a hot comedy with her daughter Gigi Hadid become a bit of a rising star; meanwhile, we really enjoyed Eileen Davidson on the show this past season and Brandi Glanville fills the role of lightning rod really well.
The new season of the show will most-likely premiere on Bravo near the end of the year; while Kim may not be present, we imagine that we will still get some sort of an update along the way via either her sister or another source.
