‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 1 preview: A full look at what lies ahead

The premiere of “Hannibal” is coming within less than 24 hours now, and that should have you more excited than almost anything else. Just in case you are still hungry for something more (hopefully not human), we do have something further for you now!

If you look below, you can see star Scott Thompson (Jimmy Price) interview executive producers Bryan Fuller and Steve Lightfoot all about the new season, and some of the big arcs that it will contain. Everything will begin this year with Hannibal on the run, but he may not actually be altogether afraid of being caught while doing so. Will Graham of course tracks him down, and (spoiler alert for those who do not know the story of the character) Hannibal eventually does get incarcerated.

All of this does eventually lead to the story of Red Dragon, which will comprise the second half of the season. We will have a massive time jump of three years, and in that time Will may actually have a chance to move forward with his life while Hannibal sits behind bars. However, something still happens that causes everyone to become very mixed-up in a familiar world again. It is two exciting stories for the price of one, and it is a very bold move for Fuller in particular, a man who definitely has quite the reputation for making these sort of moves (especially visually).
