‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 2 preview: James Cromwell arrives; Donna’s surprise
Tonight’s new episode of “Halt and Catch Fire” contained many surprises, but one of the biggest ones came in the closing seconds when Cameron decided to pick off none other than Bosworth following his prison stint. the implication from the promo after the episode was clear: This is the man that she wants shepherding Mutiny moving forward … or at least this is what she is planning on having him do for the time being. Maybe that changes a little bit once she brings him back and remembers how he ended up being behind bars in the first place.
Also in next week’s episode? The first appearance of James Cromwell as the father of Sara, Joe’s present love interest. The “American Horror Story” alum should make an interesting new addition, since these days he excels at playing these characters who you really do not want to mess with in any form.
You can see some of these teases summarized in the official synopsis released by the network:
“After meeting Sara’s father, Joe begins a new job. Meanwhile, Gordon grapples with his new freedom as Donna is blindsided by Cameron’s surprising hire at Mutiny.”
Now, we have to admit that much of what we are the most excited to see are the first ratings that come in for the premiere. While we’re crossing our fingers already that they are higher than season 1, we’d even settle if the show can at least hold on to the same viewership.
