‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Heidi Klum presses her Golden Buzzer!
We admit: We’re suckers for the Golden Buzzer on “America’s Got Talent.” Now that the show has adopted the rules of “Britain’s Got Talent,” which stipulates that a Golden Buzzer press means a trip right through to the live round of the competition, we’re much more excited to see these than ever before. It’s such a tiny change to the format that adds so much more drama to the voting. Sometimes, seeing a great act go through to the next round can be predictable, and this is an adding dose of stakes.
While the preview video below for Tuesday night does not give away much in the way of definitive content, it does show that Heidi Klum is going to be pressing her buzzer for someone soon enough. Will it come in this episode? We would like to believe so. Format-wise, the ideal thing for the series to do would be to give us a buzzer in every episode, or at least if there are an equal number of episodes and buzzers.
One thing that we still do not know with this series is whether or not host Nick Cannon has a chance to push the buzzer, as well. On the British version of the show, this is something that was granted to co-hosts Ant and Dec.
Regardless, it appears that there are a variety of different acts coming up, including some that look as though they will be extremely dangerous and different from anything else.
