‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: The Stef – Lena story in ‘Deja Vu’

Are there some problems coming up for Stef and Lena on “The Fosters“? While we may still be weeks away from finding out for sure, the brief synopsis for the upcoming third episode of the season entitled “Deja Vu” (which airs on June 22) makes us firmly believe that there could be. Sometimes we spend a whole lot of time hyping these particular details up, but this one is ultimately so short that there is no need to relentlessly promote it: “Much to Lena’s discomfort, Stef tries to set up Monte with one of their friends.”

While hardly the largest tease that you have ever seen, this is a simple reminder that while sometimes the younger cast members on the show take center stage, “The Fosters” still has the Stef and Lena characters at the core of it all. The fact that there could be some issues coming with Monte is something that was fairly expected. For more evidence of that, just remember what happened with her and Lena recently.

Will these issues rise to the surface during season 3? We certainly believe so, especially since that Stef will probably only go so long before realizing that there is something about the entire situation that just feels off and awkward.

Of course, while these two deal with some of their own issues, we’ll also for sure see some other relationship issues moving forward for Jude and Connor, who have to figure out where they stand and how much they want to publicly disclose their relationship.
