’19 Kids and Counting’: Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar book first interview with Fox News

19 Kids and Counting -We knew that sooner or later Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were going to do some sort of TV interview to speak out about the controversy revolving around their son Josh and the future of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” and we cannot say today that we are too surprised about the venue.

Fox News has confirmed that the parents of the famous 19 children are going to be sitting down with Megyn Kelly for an interview that will air on Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. The majority of the interview will air then, but there may be a few portions kept aside for a special on Friday. There are clearly going to be a wide array of topics that could be discussed with Kelly when it comes to Josh Duggar and the investigation into whether or not he molested minors while still a teenager himself. We also anticipate that Jim Bob and Michelle’s handling of the incident both back then and also now will be scrutinized in its own way.

The reason that we claim that we are not particularly surprised by this decision of networks is because Fox News is known to be the more conservative of news networks, and therefore the one most in line with the Duggars’ own political or religious leanings. Maybe they will get an interview here that shares at least a similar point of view, but this is not a case where we expect Kelly to suddenly go soft on these two just because they are somewhat influential in Arkansas conservative politics.

We know that there were many other interested suitors in a Duggar interview; to date, the only statement the parents have given was to People Magazine after Josh first admitted to the investigation so many years ago.

Both TLC and Hulu have now pulled episodes of the show, and the future remains unclear. For now, sign up here to have some other TV updates sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: TLC.)
