‘Silicon Valley’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Richard becomes para-paranoid

There are so many reasons to love “Silicon Valley” right now, but the inclusion of Russ has to be somewhere near the top of the list. How great / awful is this guy? He’s become the billionaire “angel” to the team at Pied Piper, while at the same exact time also the devil looking over their shoulder.

We saw much of this take place on this past episode of the HBO series, as Russ used his money in order to help ensure that the two at least made some progress on the business end. Now, they’re bracing for a competition between them and EndFrame in order to determine who will help compress many files for a certain adult company. The winner gets the business, and it’s a ton of business.

Also, the promo below for Sunday night’s episode features Richard apparently losing his mind, and becoming what Dinesh calls “para-paranoid.” Sometimes, we think that the paranoia that runs rampant between Richard and Jared is enough to serve as an energy source for Hooli’s entire headquarters.

Speaking of Hooli, do you really think that these guys are out of the game just yet? While we have definitely seen a little less of the company as of late, we do still have a sneaking suspicion that they are eventually going to come back in here and rear their head in an unexpected way. This is what happens when you are Gavin and you can do Scrooge McDuck leaps through your money day and night.
