‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Father’s Day’ will be upon us

While “The Fosters” and ABC Family were were somewhat liberal in sharing information about the upcoming season 3 premiere on June 8, they are taking a much more coy strategy and promoting almost everything that is coming up beyond that. What is the primary motivation there? We imagine that it is tied very much to what happens in the first episode in the aftermath of the car accident. What happens there directly impacts the remainder of the season, so sharing any significant details would potentially ruin some of what transpires there.

So while we don’t have a lengthy synopsis to share in regards to the second episode of the season entitled “Father’s Day” (airing June 15), we can at least give you everything that the network has released so far: “Stef and Lena plan a special brunch for all the positive male influences in their kids’ lives.” The title for this episode is almost perfect timing, given that Father’s Day this year is on June 21.

Thematically, this is also smart since it is such a different episode than anything that the show has produced so far. It’s also a chance potentially to see some recurring characters who we do not often get to see in every single episode of the show.
