‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Danny Posthill, Calum Scott, or Jesse Jane McParland advance?
Did we have a predictable “Britain’s Got Talent” results show on Friday? This was the last show before the final, and with that in mind it was really the last chance for there to be any real insanity when it comes to the public vote.
Then again, we really did not anticipate a whole lot of drama taking place. For example, it felt pretty clear that Calum Scott was going to win the night. He was Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act, and to go along with that he had a great vocal performance and was the last person to perform on the show. All of these are traits that voters tend to eat up, and he could be a favorite to win it all.
Then, there was at least some drama with what happened next. After Calum’s predictable win, we were then left between Danny Posthill and Jesse Jane McParland as the next choice. How in the world dancer Jonathan Lutwyche missed out on the top three is beyond us. Recency bias much?
Of the two, we would’ve picked Danny mostly because of the fact that he brings something very different to the show. We don’t have any comics / impressionists in the finale, and while Jesse Jane has a good act and is surprisingly fearsome, we don’t know what else she would have brought to the table.
After the vote went to deadlock, apparently the British public agreed with us! Danny advances, and this adds an extra piece of variety to the final of the show.
