‘The Good Wife’ season 6 finale: Archie Panjabi coy on final ‘Julianna Margulies scene’
Given that Archie Panjabi is a part of the upcoming summer movie “San Andreas,” she had to expect some questions to eventually come out about the recent finale controversy on “The Good Wife.” Clearly, there is some sort of tension between her and her co-star Julianna Margulies. How else are you supposed to describe the fact that the two seemingly did not get along on set? Panjabi was seemingly not made aware of a PaleyFest panel discussion of the show’s sixth season, and then the news broke earlier this month that she and Margulies did not film their final scene of the show together. Instead, it was done via split-screen.
While there is clearly something that transpired between these two at some point to cause this rift, Panjabi has chosen to be professional rather than dish too much on it one way or the other. Speaking to E! News at the premiere of the move, she offered up a really simple explanation about that final Kalinda / Alicia scene:
“All I can say is this: the decision-making process is not something I’m privy to.”
It should be noted here that Margulies is a producer on the show, and therefore is a little more “privy” to some of the decisions that are made.
All of this does continue to make us sad to a certain degree, mostly because of the fact that we really wanted to see more of Kalinda and Alicia interacting, even if it is just the final season. It did make sense that they would not be close anymore after what happened with Peter, but given that they are in similar occupational spheres, it is crazy to think that they would spend no time together at all.
