‘Empire’ season 2 stars Terence Howard, Taraji P. Henson to host Guys Choice Awards
We are getting near to the start of summer awards season, which means that there are a variety of different awards shows coming across the board. One of them just so happens to be the Guys Choice Awards coming to Spike TV on June 18, and we know that when this show airs, you are going to get a heavy dose of “Empire.” Specifically, series stars Terence Howard and Taraji P. Henson have been booked in order to co-host the affair!
If you look below, you get a chance to see a video from the two actors announcing that they are taking the reigns for this show! This is likely the first of many TV gigs for the two, given that “Empire” has propelled them to a new level of fame. Specifically, we anticipate Henson to be a favorite throughout the upcoming awards season starting with the Critics’ Choice TV Awards.
In a new statement talking about the hosting decision, the show’s executive producer Casey Patterson had the following to say:
“We just worked with Terrence and Taraji on the upcoming season finale of Lip Sync Battle and I can promise you that adding their off-the-charts chemistry into the Guys Choice mix will make for one of the most unpredictable nights of the year … Gird your loins boys, Cookie is coming to town!”
Hopefully, this also brings a little bit more attention to the show itself, given that the Guys Choice Awards tend to be forgotten most of the time. Maybe getting some of the team fro “Lip Sync Battle,” one of the biggest hits in the history of Spike, will certainly help matters.
