If you enjoyed “Extant” when it aired its first full season on CBS, you better prepare yourself for what may in some ways feel like an incredibly different show July 1! There are going to be many changes to the Halle Berry series, both in terms of the cast (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is one of many new additions and also the way that the show works. Molly has went through great trials and tribulations in space, and she may now be able to actually take some of that knowledge and apply it more to matters taking place on earth.
CBS today released some of their first details on “Change Scenario,” which as a title alone suggests that the show is going in a very different sort of direction. Want some scoop on just what you can expect? Then take a look at the attached synopsis right away:
“Six months after her life unraveled and dark secrets were revealed, Molly is confined to a psychiatric hospital when she learns of bizarre deaths that sound eerily similar to those she witnessed in space. When she escapes to investigate, she crosses paths with JD Richter, a determined cop who just signed on to the case, on the second season premiere.”
We are interested to see just what the show can bring to the table for its second season, and at the moment, one of the biggest questions we find ourselves pondering is strictly this: Are we really going to see something that moves the needle? We were surprised that the show was even picked up, given that its ratings were not entirely great this past season.
