Is ‘Outlander’ season 1, episode 16 (finale) new tonight on Starz?
The past seven weeks, Starz has delivered for you a dose of life for Claire Fraser in Scotland. “Outlander” has become on of the network’s biggest hits in years; not only does it generate passion among its viewers, but it also brings in headlines, ratings, and most importantly for the network, subscriptions! Like any premium channel, Starz relies on people signing up more so than anything else.
What we are here to report now, in the event that you have not heard, is that you are going to have to wait for a little while still to see what happens next in the season 1 finale. Due to it being Memorial Day Weekend, a time when many are out enjoying food or the outdoors with friends / family, the network has decided to hold back on the last episode until May 30. This is a bummer to some, but think of it this way: There’s one less week between the end of this season and the start of next one!
“Outlander” was renewed for a second season a long time ago, but with production happening right now, there is not really any word just yet on when the series is going to return for its 13-episode second season.
For the time being, it may be better to just focus on the present, and some of the issues that are there for Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan’s characters. For example, is it going to be possible for Jamie to fully recover from his latest torment at the hands of Jack Randall? For the time being, that is probably the biggest reason to worry.

If you can’t wait & really want to know “if it going to be possible for Jamie to fully recover from his latest torment at the hands of Jack Randall” read the book Outlander… the other books are great too!

Pulling my copy of “Outlander” off the shelf as we speak!
It’s been so many years since I read those books and I, for the life of me cannot remember all the details. Those books were dense with details of that story.
I was dragged into it until I felt as though they were my own family.
Diana did a work of magic in making the reader feel as though they’d become a part of the world she created.

Really? Only 13 episodes for season 2? Starz, you’re slipping . . . Taking a fantastic show and cutting its showtimes? Wow! Why?

I agree, i really hope they extend it to 16 eps like season one. This is without a doubt the best TV series on TV at present, or maybe ever. I think even if this was made into a feature film after the TV series with the same cast it would still be a killer success. I am just going to have to watch season one over and over and finish reading all 8 books until next year when season 2 resumes. ❤️❤️•*¨`•.

No, they won’t extend it – it nearly killed Cait and Sam filming 10+ hrs/day, for months on end. GoT struggles to complete 10 eps each year, so 13 for DiA is a happy medium.
