‘The Talk’: Sharon Osbourne takes leave due to exhaustion
Sharon Osbourne has been one of the key components in the success of “The Talk” over the years, but at least for the time being, she is going to have to take a little bit of time away.
In a new report from People Magazine, it is revealed that Sharon is taking some time away after collapsing at one point recently due to exhaustion. She has been traveling frequently, and doctors also claim that she most likely returned to work too soon after spending some time battling pneumonia. This time will give her a chance to rest back up, and be able to allow for her to have a solid run of episodes a little bit later this year. This is what her rep had to say to the publication on the subject:
“Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events … Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support.”
Sharon will be missed; one of the reasons we feel like the run of “The Talk” has been in particular so successful is because of just how much consistency there has been on the panel. Really ever since Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood signed on, there has not been too much in the way of flux there. This has allowed the show to become a far more serious threat to its rival on ABC in “The View.”
Of course, we are sending Sharon all the best while she works to recover, and we hope that she’ll be back at full strength on the show very soon.
