‘Supergirl’ pilot gets the ‘Game of Thrones’ treatment, leaks early

Given that we are living firmly in the internet age, you really cannot be too shocked by the news that is coming out now.

As reported by Variety, the pilot for “Supergirl” starring Melissa Benoist has leaked across the internet, and has already been downloaded over 100,000 times as of this writing. The series on CBS is already being considered one of the big-ticket items of the fall season, given the star power of the character and the fact that it comes from “Arrow” / “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti. As for whether or not this will hurt the show, maybe slightly … but probably not incredibly. Despite the first four episodes of “Game of Thrones” leaking, the show still drew enormous ratings on HBO. If we were CBS, we would consider putting up the pilot episode on the official site at some point sooner rather than later. That way, at least you can make some revenue off the show before everyone just goes and finds a pirated version at some point over the course of the coming weeks.

In addition to “Supergirl,” the NBC comedy “Crowded” starring Carrie Preston and Patrick Warburton also leaked, which is somewhat random given that it does not have the same sort of pre-show buzz.

While this pilot may be out there, we do have to post a quick warning here that this is not a place to share links or any such information. This is a news site, and not anything otherwise. Any comment that posts a link to a download file will be immediately deleted and the IP subject to a ban.
