‘Chicago PD’ season 3: The future ahead for Sophia Bush, cast

“Chicago PD” is not the sort of show to end with every loose end tied up … and it is also not the sort of show that would also choose to give you the world’s biggest slice of happiness. This is a dark, gritty show, and one that only recently killed off Nadia and has focused quite a bit recently on Lindsay and her downward spiral.

Unfortunately, you know now that you could be waiting a very long time in order to learn now what lies ahead. The show is on hiatus most likely until late September, when it will be a part of a lineup that also includes once again “The Mysteries of Laura” and “Chicago PD.” While “Chicago Fire” is going to be on hiatus until November most likely (blame Neil Patrick Harris) for that, you will not be stuck in a waiting game here.

What is going to be interesting in particular about the third season of the show is that in some ways, it could feel like the fourth season of “Chicago Fire” at the same time. You may find out things about what lies ahead for some of the characters on that show, such as Brett, over on this series due mostly to the way things are airing.

Also, you still have on the horizon the eventual airing of the “Chicago Med” premiere. This spin-off is slated at the moment to premiere at midseason, and we are feeling very much like it could could be just as intense as every one before that.
