‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 3: Premiere date speculation, other hopes for Andy Samberg comedy
Two seasons into the show, and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” has delivered on something that we feel is really timeless for a comedy: Classic entertainment, and something that you can turn on and digest almost at any point without hesitation. While there are times we wish that there were stories on this show that carry over week to week, we also at the same time still appreciate the fact that the writers choose to make every episode great, regardless of what comes before and after.
So what do we want to see on the upcoming third season? First and foremost, let’s talk about premiere dates! Fox has already unveiled their fall schedule, and it reveals that the Andy Samberg comedy is staying in the same exact place Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. It is a spot that mostly benefited the show this year, and we’re thrilled about it. All this show really needed was a platform to help to get it towards syndication and other venues where more people can see it.
Story-wise, we know that there are many people out there who do want to see Jake get together with Amy, and we understand the general sentiment there. We’re somewhat torn on it, regardless of whatever happens in the finale. We love the two characters and really like them together; however, “New Girl” wasn’t quite the same when Nick and Jess decided to be a couple.
Then again, this is a different show with different producers, and after “Parks and Recreation,” we have so much faith in Dan Goor and Mike Schur to deliver something great.
