‘Big Brother Canada 3’ review: Godfrey and Ashleigh’s emotional moment … and pizza

Ashleigh -Rarely does “Big Brother Canada” make us both slightly emotional and hungry at the same time, but this is precisely what happened on the new episode Sunday night. We’re not going to spend too much time on the nominations, mostly because A) you may already know them and B) they are obvious. Of course Sarah would put up Zach and Ashleigh! Why wouldn’t she? It is easy to just put the pair up together, and then use Pilar potentially as a replacement nominee if need be.

Given that Godfrey threw the competition for her, we have a better understand now as to why she doesn’t want to use him. While she probably would in the right situation, it’s better to preserve that alliance and the jury vote if you really need to at some point down the line.

The real emotion of the episode came ironically through a giant Pizza Pizza commercial of a task, where houseguests paired up together and tried to guess flavor combinations. Godfrey wasn’t lying when he bragged about his great palette! He and Ashleigh won gift cards, and then they also got to have quick visits from family. This is extremely touching to watch mostly because these people are probably somewhat stir crazy when it happens, and it makes them all the more sentimental for home.

In the end, at least this moment, and seeing some of the “distractions” during the Head of Household Competition, helped to make up for what was a pretty predictable episode through and through. Grade: B-.
