‘Survivor: Second Chance’: Peih-Gee Law, Kass McQuillen, T-Bird Cooper lead our ballot for the women
We have spent a ton of time over the past week and a half chronicling almost everything when it comes to “Survivor: Second Chance,” and we are now more or less at the end of it! In this article, we are going to share with you what has become our ballot for the 16 women vying to return, complete with even the order in which we select them in the voting.
When we wrote about who we thought were the contenders for the men this season, we admitted that we had a tough decision among the final guys as to who to pick. Here, we feel like we came up with a pretty definitive ten. There are some people we like who didn’t make the cut, and in the case of some of them like Carolyn, it was mostly because of us not wanting to have too many people from the same season.
Peih-Gee Law (“China”) – Peih-Gee is more or less everything we want in a “Survivor” player: Entertaining, strategic, and competitive in every aspect. We hate that she’s been forgotten by many until now.
Kass McQuillen (“Cagayan”) – Maybe you don’t like Chaos Kass or some of the moves that she made, but are you really going to say that she is anything other than a really exciting person to watch? We’re already really excited to see what she will do this time.
Teresa “T-Bird” Cooper (“Africa”) – Nostalgia through and through, but we also think that she is a good enough player that she would bring a lot to another season and will pick up the rules of the modern game really well.
Abi-Maria Gomes (“Philippines”) – To quote Abi, you will be both a moron and an idiot if you don’t give her another shot at playing this game. She’s probably a better competitor than most even give her credit for.
Shirin Oskooi (“Worlds Apart”) – Really, we just want to see Shirin get a chance to play the game more. She had potential during “Worlds Apart,” but so often she was on the other side of the vote and didn’t get to always show off her skills.
Ciera Eastin (“Blood vs. Water”) – She played the game hard, was willing to make bold moves, and is still fondly remembered as the biggest threat Tyson really faced to winning the game.
Kelly Wiglesworth (“Borneo”) – Just because she is the original runner-up, you almost have to include her to see what she does next. We’re a little worried about whether or not she is going to really play the game in a way that suits modern “Survivor,” but nostalgia meets curiosity secures her a spot.
Kelley Wentworth (“San Juan del Sur”) – While she didn’t make the merge, she is one of those players who was really screwed over by a twist. Had the tribe swap not happened, she could have made it a whole lot further.
Tasha Fox (“Cagayan”) – She’s very competitive, and stood for a while as a real immunity threat and challenge to Tony’s alliance on his season. She’ll almost definitely be on, so we are curious to see what sort of pizzazz she brings to the table this time.
Sabrina Thompson (“One World”) – Probably a longshot pick, but we feel like Sabrina is extremely smart and a good strategist. The fact that she still got two votes at the end against Kim Spradlin, in our mind the most dominant winner to never return, is impressive.
